In conjunction with the Dallas Bar Association, the District Court for the Northern District of Texas is once again co-sponsoring a FREE virtual CLE event under the POWER Act on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 3 PM (CDT). This national program highlights the positive impact of pro bono representation and advocacy in the lives of victims and survivors of domestic violence and abuse.
The guest speaker this year is attorney Jennifer R. Rawlings, a Senior Contracts Manager at Yale University and the Co-Director of the Center for Indigenous Peoples Rights. The program will be moderated by the Honorable Laura Taylor Swain, United States District Judge for the Southern District of New York.
The program runs about 50-65 minutes and registrants will receive a Microsoft Teams invitation two days prior to the event. After the program, attendees may claim a total of 1 hour of CLE (ethics) from the State Bar of Texas by emailing their name, bar number, and the three code words used during the presentation to USDCemergencyfile@txnd.uscourts.gov.
