Judge Lynn retired from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas in 2015, after serving 14 years as a bankruptcy judge in the Fort Worth Division, and a practicing attorney in Dallas and Fort Worth for almost 30 years prior to that time. After retiring from the bench, he continued to practice in Fort Worth and stayed involved in the bankruptcy community. He was always interested in teaching and mentoring others and served as a visiting professor at both SMU and Texas A&M University’s School of Law. He wrote the book on advanced bankruptcy law used by the John C. Ford Inn of Court to teach its Chapter 11 Class and served as the editor-in-chief of Bloomberg Law: Bankruptcy Treatise and was a contributing author to Collier’s for several years as well.
