Court Orders and Updates During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Please wear a mask or face covering that completely covers your nose and mouth when inside any courthouse in the Northern District of Texas, and maintain a distance of at least six feet from other people.  These are temporary requirements to mitigate the risk of spreading COVID-19.  See Special Order Nos. 13-12 through 13-17 for information on requirements for each division, including information on how to obtain assistance if you cannot or do not wish to wear a mask or face covering.

Court offices are open to serve the public; however, please be advised that you should not come into a courthouse facility in the Northern District of Texas if you: (1) are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, shortness of breath, have a fever, or are coughing or sneezing; (2) have traveled outside of the country within the last 14 days, or have had close contact with someone who has traveled outside of the country within the last 14 days (see CDC travel warnings); or (3) have been asked to self-quarantine by any hospital or health agency or have been diagnosed with or had close contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 within the past 14 days. If you need assistance from the court and fall into one of these categories, please contact the court by either calling the district clerk’s office at one of the numbers listed in the online directory or emailing the clerk’s office through the court's website. If you are scheduled to appear before a judge and fall into one of these categories, immediately contact the assigned judge’s chambers for further instructions.
