How can I obtain an
Application for Naturalization (Form
N-400) and get information about applying for citizenship?
Applicants for citizenship must file an Application for
Naturalization (Form-400) with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). All requirements of the USCIS
must be fulfilled prior to receiving the Certificate of
Naturalization. To obtain application forms and naturalization

Is there a fee when applying for naturalization?
Yes. The fee is $260.00. It must be submitted in the exact
amount to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.
The fee cannot be refunded. DO NOT MAIL CASH. (A fee of
$50 may be necessary for fingerprinting. Please check with
the USCIS to see if this is necessary.)

Where are the Court's naturalization
records located?
Naturalization records after 1996 are maintained by the
United States Citizenship and Immigration. All naturalization
records (declaration of intentions, court orders, and index
to naturalization petitions, etc.) for the period 1907 to
1996 can be found at:

Before contacting the Federal Records Center for information
or copies, you must contact the naturalization clerk in
the Clerk's Office to obtain accession and location numbers
of the documents. Contact the divisional
office in the city where your naturalization ceremony
was conducted.

How will I be notified of my naturalization
ceremony date?
Approximately two to three weeks prior to the ceremony,
the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services will send
you a written notice of the date and time to report.

I lost my certificate
of naturalization. Can I get
a copy from the Court?
No. You must contact the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services office that issued the certificate to obtain a
copy.
Can I get verification
of citizenship from the Court?
Yes. The Clerk's Office can verify citizenship information
derived from Court records. Contact the divisional
office in the city where your naturalization ceremony
was conducted.
