Notice Regarding the Wichita Falls Division

The U.S. District Clerk’s Office for the Northern District of Texas, which covers 100 counties in north and west Texas, will no longer provide in-person services at the Wichita Falls division, except when required to support jury trials and other court proceedings. District clerk’s office staff in the Fort Worth division will otherwise support Wichita Falls.

The Wichita Falls division will continue to be one of seven places of holding court in the district, and court will be held in Wichita Falls as scheduled by the presiding judicial officer. Probation/pretrial services officers will continue to be physically present in the Wichita Falls courthouse.

The court’s electronic case filing system for all divisions is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Phone assistance will be provided during normal working hours at 1-800-240-7240. Paper filings for Wichita Falls cases should be mailed to the Fort Worth division at: United States District Court, 501 West 10th Street, Room 310, Fort Worth, TX 76102-3673. Emergency filings that cannot be uploaded into the case filing system may be emailed directly to the clerk’s office at USDCemergencyfile@txnd.uscourts.gov.
